High point market trends Spring 2011- bold fruit patterned fabric
Posted by: Dorothy Hall in Home Improvement News Add commentsOne of the trends that came out of the High Point Spring Market this year was the use of fruits and vegetables and bold floral patterns in fabric, wallpaper and accessories. These items can be whimsical for use in a laundry room or kitchen or sophisticated enough to use in a dining room or even the master bedroom.
Robert Allen offers several different fruit and vegetable patterns. One of our favorites is Fruit Mix, featuring a colorful array of bananas, watermelon slices, apples, blueberries and grapes on a cream background. This fun fabric can be used to brighten up a dull laundry space or add color and pattern to your kitchen and breakfast area.
For a more sophisticated use of bold fruit patterns you may want to consider Robert Allen’s Fruit Patches from their durable @home collection. It features large pears in a soft porcelain blue set against an ivory background. This fabric would be beautiful as window treatments or bedding in a master bedroom or guest area or use it in the sunroom to create a peaceful and inviting space.
Need a simple way to introduce the fruit and vegetable trend into your home decor? Visit your local grocery store and create a beautiful and edible centerpiece for your countertop or table. Doesn’t get any better than that!
