The Colorado Gold rush of 1859 saw many gold hunters, merchants and farmers settling down in Colorado territory and also the town of Littleton. Littleton had grown a lot and boated of schools, hotels, churches and stores by the time Colorado was officially made a State in 1876. The major industry in the area was still Agriculture and it remained like this till the Second World War. Over the years, Littleton has grown and today pneumatics, electronics and aerospace industries form the economic base for the neighborhood.
